Mike’s Cafe

Mike’s Cafe, located off the Ladbroke Grove tube station in Notting Hill, is the best cafe I have been to in London. Passed down through generations, the cafe boasts the freshest food, most of which is bought from the nearby Portobello Road fruit & vegetable markets. Mike’s cafe is most famous for it’s breakfast and lunch dishes, although it does have a dinner menu.

Above is a picture of my meal — a tomato, onion, & cheese omelet with half salad, half chips! All for under 8 pounds, which is pretty cheap for the amount of food you get.. Their portion sizes are on the bigger side. The cafe is in a perfect location since it is so near to the world-famous Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill. On any given weekend, you can find the market packed with hundreds of people.

I would recommend ordering breakfast from Mike’s Cafe,  no matter what time you decide to go! Their omelets are amazing, and so is their English breakfast. Also — be sure to order a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice! It tastes much different than any American OJ. Trust me, you’ll love it! Enjoy!
