The annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge is one of the biggest amateur sports events in London! The game day atmosphere almost makes you feel like you’re getting ready for a Mizzou Football game!
Since the Boat Race is such a big event in London, there are plenty of places to watch the race. We decided to make a day out of the race with an outdoor picnic at Bishop’s Park! The park was a great location to watch the race because we were able to watch the boats take off at the beginning, and watch the rest of the race on a big screen in the park.
This year, after a series of unusual and unfortunate events, Cambridge University won the race; bringing the record to Oxford 76 and Cambridge 81.
