National Gallery

One of London’s best museums is the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. It’s an enormous art museum that’s home to over 2,300 paintings, including the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Goya, Caravaggio and Seurat. This is where you’ll find such masterpieces as van Gogh’s Sunflowers and Monet’s Water-Lily Pond. It’s free to get into the museum itself, but you’ll be charged an extra fee for visiting exhibitions. With such a large collection, you could spend a good part of your day here, but if you’re short on time the National Gallery’s website has outlined some quick routes to see all the classics.

Tube stop: Charing Cross, Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus
