If you want a more interactive museum experience, you’ll definitely want to check out the Churchill War Rooms near Whitehall. The Churchill War Rooms consists of the Cabinet War Rooms, the secret underground headquarters of the British government during World War II, and the Churchill Museum, which tells all about Winston’s life.
The War Rooms are really fascinating to see, since they’ve preserved them so that they’re pretty much as they would have looked during the Blitz. There’s a ton of winding corridors that lead to different rooms like the Map Room, the Transatlantic Telephone Room and Churchill’s office and bedroom.
