Granada is probably one of my favorite places I’ve visited and I was only there a day. Though I didn’t get to explore the city as much as I would have like to I would go back again and again to Granada for one reason: The Alhambra, a 14th century Moorish palace whose gardens are as beautiful and breathtaking as the castle itself. Every inch of every wall in the castle is carved with the most intricate designs. I can’t even describe it and pictures don’t do it justice you just have to see it for yourself!
You’ll need to book your tickets (around 13 euro-totally worth it) to the garden and the castle in advance through: http://www.alhambra.org/eng/index.asp?secc=/inicio
Make sure to get both the garden and castle passes and read the times on your ticket carefully. You can only see the castle at your assigned time.
