The London Eye

ATTRACTION: The London Eye

LOCATION: Along the Thames River, about a 5-minute walk from the Westminster Tube Station.

COST: £18.90 for one Adult ticket.

One of the newer attractions that I recommend you see during your visit to the city is the London Eye. The structure is essentially a giant Ferris wheel, with “pods” that take about a half hour to make the full-circle journey around the wheel. Each of these pods fits about 20 people, making it a relatively short wait to get on this attraction. As you go up, the curved glass walls of the pod allow you to see for London in all directions for miles. The weather definitely determines this experience, though. I suggest going when the sky is clear, so that you’ll be able to see the most from the Eye. I went with two friends at sunset, which was an amazing thing to watch from so high up in the air – the Eye is the fourth highest building in London. Although it’s a bit expensive, it’s worth the price!
